15 cops were killed and five were harmed when they were trapped by suspected group individuals in Mexico's Jalisco state, the state lawyer general's office said Tuesday.
The assault, which occurred along the Mascota-Las-Palmas expressway, happened Monday.
Shooters opened flame at a state security caravan, which was going toward the metropolitan territory of Guadalajara, murdering 15 individuals from the United Force of Jalisco, the lawyer general's office said.
The state is home to the "Jalisco New Generation" drug cartel.
